Poor education of India
Indian student ranked second last among 73 countries that participated in the 2009 Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA).
The Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) is a worldwide by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in member and non-member nations of 15- year old school pupils scholastic performance on mathematics, science and reading.

The poor results in mathematics, science and reading among school-leaving students of Himachal Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, two of India’s better performing states on development and education.
The fact is that the quality of education in India is not so good. In government schools there is a serious shortage of teachers and even when teachers are available not so good in quality. There is also the real problem is shortage of basic needs like classrooms, blackboard, books and the like.

In India education mostly depends on theoretical knowledge. Never ever is there any focus on practical learning in our education. Science is all about learning theories with there being no facility to visit science centre to see the theories work in practice. In fact most Indian cities do not even have well equipped science centre which can teach practical science to students.

In government schools student didn’t get right way of education because of poor quality of teachers, classrooms, blackboards and most important books. And if student wants these all thing of learning in good quality then they have financial problems. Private schools have all facilities but with more fees and the students of rural areas  can’t afford it so, they can’t get real knowledge which they deserve.

Government have to change the education system and provide all facilities to every school especially in rural area rather than blaming the students and India’s poor educational score on cultural disconnect.
